The following section deals with the step-by-step procedure of setting up your computer use the Internet.

1. Click on Start Control Panel Network and Internet Connections, click Setup or Change your Internet Connection Setup.

   

2. This will launch the New Connection Wizard bypass the initial welcome screen by clicking the Next button.
3. Select Connect to the Internet, for the type of connection, and click Next.
   If this is the first time you have ever setup a modem or dialing connection you will be prompted by windows to fill in the Local Information sheet, fill in your local dial up rules, such as area code, country code, and any long distance dialing rules.

   

4. Select Setup my connection manually and click Next.

   

5. Select Connect using a dial-up modem and click Next.

6. In the ISP Name: field enter Solar Winds Online, click Next.

   

7. In the Phone number: field enter the dial-up number for your connection type, once you have entered it click Next.

8. You will then be prompted for your login information. Fill in the following fields using all lower case letters, and do not include any spaces, click Next when you are done.

   Username:	Your Username
   Password:	Your Password
   Confirm Password:	Your Password Again

9. And the setup is complete, you have entered all the required information to connect to the Internet, click Finish to save the setup, and you are now ready to access Solar Winds Online.
